Benjamin McKenzie is a Michigan native who brings over 30 years of distinguished military service in both the United States Marine Corps and the U.S. Army. He holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from the University of North Alabama and a Master of Physician Assistant Studies from Wayne State University.
During his military career, Mr. McKenzie was deployed to Afghanistan, where he served as the NATO Chief Medical Officer at HQ ISAF in Kabul. He is a proud member of Pi Alpha, the national Physician Assistant honor society, recognizing his academic and professional excellence.
With extensive experience in neurosurgery, orthopedics, occupational medicine, and emergency medicine—both in combat zones and civilian settings—Mr. McKenzie is a compassionate and dedicated provider. He has a special commitment to serving veterans and their families, supporting their transition from military to civilian life.
He also enjoys mentoring the next generation of healthcare professionals and frequently precepts physician assistant students from programs throughout Michigan.
Mr. McKenzie resides in East Lansing, Michigan, with his wife and their English Pointer. In his free time, he enjoys listening to instrumental jazz, playing the guitar, painting historical miniatures, and spending quality time with his five grandchildren.
