Cheryl received her under-graduate degree at Keuka College in New York. For 13 years she worked in a variety of positions in management, as a program director, and also as director of nursing. Cheryl received her Masters degree in Nursing/Family Nurse Practitioner in 1999. Since then, she has worked in family practice, gastroenterology/hepatology, hospice, and endocrinology. 

Cheryl was born and raised in Pennsylvania and has lived in Dewitt for 23 years. She has been married to her husband John for 26 years and they have one daughter. Cheryl really enjoys spending time with family, especially with her twin granddaughters. Her favorite place is on the beach and close to the water. She also enjoys walking and biking outdoors with a passion for nature photography.
